    MvIMPORT text with Newlines?

Hi folks -- hope somebody knows the answer to this one:

Suppose I need to MvIMPORT a text file, using a character such as pipe
("|") for the delimiter, but some of the fields contain Newline
characters. Will that work -- I mean, will Miva consider the Newlines to
be part of the fields? Or will the Newlines always force the end of a
record, resulting in a lot of too-short records and empty fields?

    Thanks --

    Hi,

From my experience new lines always force the end of th record.

    Best regards,
    Claudiu

      MvIMPORT text with Newlines?

      Kent,

I had the same issues. The description field for my products had line
breaks causing havoc during the import. I converted the desription field to
html so that I could use
for line breaks. Now all my test is
essentially one long line with no breaks, but the description is still
      formated as I wanted.
