Radio Button Attributes - Description and Image?

Is there a way to use Radio Button attributes that will show the image =
    and a
description? For example, I want to list a Cranberry color swatch with =
    the
description of Cranberry so my customer knows that indeed it is =
    cranberry,
    not maroon, not red, etc!

    =20

The best I figure is if I have 5 colors to have 5 attributes, then I can =
    put
the color description as the prompt. This option doesn't let me make =
    this a
requirement though and will let the customer order without choosing any
    color.

    =20

Should I make 5 attributes and just make the first color a default
    selection?

Thanks I will check out that module. I don't believe your alternative =
    will
let me show the colors, only a description of the color. My alternative
doesn't allow me to make it a required attribute. I know customers who =
    wish
to order the color of the image on the screen will just order without
selecting a color, thinking they are buying the color in the image.

    I'll check out the module!

An excellent option for you that would increase your sales, I believe, =
    is
    this module:

    <A HREF ="http://www.phosphormedia.com/ps/merchant.mv?Screen=3DPROD&Product_Code=3D=">http://www.phosphormedia.com/ps/merchant.mv?Screen=3DPROD&Product_Code=3D=</A>
    MOD-DYN
    ATTR

It allows the customer to actually see an image of the color you're
referring to - better than any description.

Without that, though, you could have a radio attribute with the prompt =
    being
"color," and the each radio option having the description. Once =
    attribute,
    mandatory.

As I've been told, it's either a text prompt or picture. One possible way
around it is to overlay the attribute name (or any other text you need) on
      the picture using a photo-editor.

I also agree that you should consider the module, it's very cool (especially
      the realtime price update).

Radio Button Attributes - Description and Image?

The module looks very nice, but ... there is always a but ... it looks =
        like
I would need to have a product image in every color. I don't have that.
For an item available in 5 colors I may only have images of 3 of the =
        colors.
Creating new images from my color swatches with the description added is
probably the best solution. Good idea! Now I just need to redo all my
attributes to use radio buttons instead of drop downs. Ah, proper =
        planning
        would be so nice!
