PPC (Pay Per Click) Conversion Tracking & Affilaiate Manager.
Hi Jerry,
If you are wanting to track the PPC just from your Affiliates - the
module itself has the ability to do this. From the Viking Coders web
site:
Affiliate Manager =20
This module, as the name implies, is an affiliate manager. It
tracks referrals to your store from your affiliates. You give an
Affiliate code to them which they in turn can use in a link to your
site or provide to others who can enter it on your site to give credit
to the affiliate for their visit. You can set the amount to be paid
out separately for each individual affiliate and the module tracks the
accumulation and alerts you when payout is due. Payouts can be
scheduled for any time period from daily to annually or set to occur
when a particular payout amount has been accumulated.
=20
Some of the key features include:
>Payouts can be accumulated and for both hits and orders (as both a
per order payout and as a percentage of the order total)
>Payouts can be accumulated up to 5 levels deep (i.e. you can give
payouts to those who refer other affiliates to your store)
>The referral is gathered by the module itself w/ a link such as: =20
http://yourstore.com/Merchant2/merch...IL=3Daffilcode
>No need for extra scripts to collect the referral.=20
>The referral link can point to almost any page in your store. For
example, you can point them directly to specific products or
categories. Just add the AFFIL=3Daffilcode to the URL that points to
that page.
>The referral code can be passed to your store either through the link
from the affiliate's web site or it can be collected in a form on your
site which can be positioned in up to 14 different positions. The
content of that form is configurable with a template.
You can create a unique Affiliate and use that link in your PPC
campaigns or ff you need something even more robust - take a look at
QwkTracker
>QwkTracker allow a merchant to track the traffic coming into their
store starting with where it came from and tracking it through the
shopping process. The system can help a merchant determine if they are
spending their money wisely on pay-per-click advertising such as
Overture, Google, and Miva Marketplace or non-pay-per-click links from
friends, associates, business partners, or advertising campaigns.
QwkTracker helps merchant determine who is most effective in sending
traffic to their site, which referring links translate to more sales,
and where in the shopping experience they may be losing sales.
>Tracks Pay-Per-Click and Non-Pay-Per-Click Traffic=20
You can use QwkTracker with most traffic generation services such as
Overture, Google, FindWhat, Sprinks, Kanoodle, Ah-Ha, and Miva
Marketplace. QwkTracker also works great with link sharing systems,
banner ads, web rings, or any other systems that direct traffic to
your site.
Hopefully, more folks will add their thoughts as to what would be best for =
you.

In the process of upgrading our site to Miva Merchant V4.24. Installed
Viking’s “Affiliate Manager” and “Affiliate Login”, need to know how to
implement PPC conversion tracking, and if it’s a good idea to use in
conjunction with Affiliate Manager module. If so, how.
Thanks, Jerry Chavez
