Which UI mod to use? OD, SuperMod, Viking?

Been spending some time going through the posts trying to get a sense of
which UI module will best suit my needs between OpenDesigner, OpenUI
    SuperMod, Viking Templates, etc.

    Requirements:
    - want to modify layout of store front, category, product, other screens,
perhaps checkout screens as well (would be great to rearrange the order of
some of the checkout content - but not a requirement). I've skinned the
store pretty well using OpenUI as far as the top/left goes, but really want
to control the layout of the category & product screens, as well as what
data is displayed on those screens and where.

    - want this to be easy to use. I'm expert w/HTML, pretty good programmer,
but don't want to have to learn hook/tokens if I can avoid it.

Which module(s) would be best to accomplish the above?

    TIA,

    koop

OpenUI + VikingCoder PageTemplates (take the bundle of 3).

        I second that.

OD and SM are great if you want to learn the hooks and tokens and have
        absolute control over everything.

Vikings templates use the same token style and syntax which makes
editing a page/category/screen easy. If you know HTML well you will not
have much to learn other than which tokens display what. I found them
easy once you get the hang of them. You have understand how each page is
broken into separate pieces that get displayed. There are conditionals
in there too if you need them, always read the FAQ's in the modules .zip
        to get ideas and tips.

Which UI mod to use? OD, SuperMod, Viking?

Meaning just the regular OpenUI which I already have?

I'm checking out the Mia Miva version of SuperMod and it doesn't seem too
easy to manipulate. Does Viking aloow more HTML copy & paste manipulation?
I.e., move description here, image here, price here, etc.

Yes, you need OpenUI to install Vikings templates.

Take a look at http://mvdevelopment.com to see the admin's for their
modules (Its their demo store). It is all html blocks with tokens in
them for different things like price, add to basket buttons, quantity...
                ect ect...

                  Michael:

They have a demo store where you can poke
around in the admin. Go to
                  http://mvdevelopment.com/ and click on
the Demo Admin link at the top. The Templates
                  will be under System Extensions.

Which UI mod to use? OD, SuperMod, Viking?

Actually, you don't need OUI, at least for the Other Page Templates (I don't
have it, and I just installed OPT). You do have to modify your mmui.mv,
                    though.

Yes, you need OpenUI to install Vikings templates.

Take a look at http://mvdevelopment.com to see the admin's for their
modules (Its their demo store). It is all html blocks with tokens in
them for different things like price, add to basket buttons, quantity...
                    ect ect...
