    Hi All:

My hosting company is having trouble installing my SSL and getting it to
work in miva. I'm running Merchant 4.16 and empresa 4.10.

    Here's there email:

There's a place in the miva config to change the http:// to https:// which
we can't do yet --this is why.

    For some reason this works:
    non secure <A HREF ="http://www.24hourcampfire.com">http://www.24hourcampfire.com</A>
    secure: https://www.24hourcampfire.com

    But with miva
    non secure: <A HREF ="http://www.24hourcampfire.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc WORKS, but">http://www.24hourcampfire.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc WORKS, but</A>
    Secure: https://www.24hourcampfire.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc DOESN'T WORK

The secure version doesn't work - just get a blank page. In the ticket where
we configured the demo certificate, we had reached this point in Ticket
    #SCI-33295.

You're going to have to contact Miva support for help on this problem. I've
checked the httpd.conf and don't see any problems with it. miva-sitevars has
https set to on. The miva test script and admin script work under https, so
it doesn't seem to be a problem with using miva while connected securely.

So at this point I'm stumped on a miva issue. Do they provide you with any
kind of support that we could submit this question to them?

I'm guessing it's some oddity of configuring miva, but you will need to
contact their support department and see if they have a solution for this.
Everything works except miva under https so there's got to be some trick or
setting causing the blank page issue on certain miva pages.

Once we know that, and do whatever we have to do to make that work, then
under your miva admin area, you need to change the secure URLs to https://
instead of http:// and you'll be good to go.

    Can you help guys?

Blank Pages when installing SSL ...HELP Please

It sounds actually like a very simple problem... Once the SSL is installed
on your domain, you simply need to go into Domain Settings -> Site
Configuration and make sure all your secure URLs have "https" in them. If
they are blank or left with http, manually forcing them to use secure mode
(https in the URL) will indeed display blank pages.

Blank Pages when installing SSL ...HELP Please

Can't help much but here's the place to mess with it inside Miva (at least
      in my 4.18 store)

      Domain Settings ----> Site Configuration

Blank Pages when installing SSL ...HELP Please

        All:

All of the secure paths ARE set to https://

        https://www.24hourcampfire.com works.

        https://www.24hourcampfire.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc gets you a blank.

Where else do I configure besides in Admin>Domain Settings>Site
        Configuration?

Also, I notice that 4.16 is a subdirectory to Merchant2, and you can get a
        login page at <A HREF ="http://www.24hourcampfire.com/Merchant2/4.16/admin.mvc as">http://www.24hourcampfire.com/Merchant2/4.16/admin.mvc as</A>
        well. But it's a blank.

IS there another place to configure?

I suspect this is a very minor setting.

Sounds more like a server misconfiguration of the SSL paths on the hosts
          side.

Blank Pages when installing SSL ...HELP Please

            Rick:

Please post all of your path settings under
Domain Configuration -> Site Config. Is
the Secure Path to module directory the
same as the regular path? i.e., "/Merchant2/" ?

Your admin login page wouldn't be working
securely if Empresa couldn't get to the=20
            SSL config.

            All:

All of the secure paths ARE set to https://

            https://www.24hourcampfire.com works.

            https://www.24hourcampfire.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc gets you a blank.

Where else do I configure besides in Admin>Domain Settings>Site
            Configuration?

Also, I notice that 4.16 is a subdirectory to Merchant2, and you can get
            a
            login page at <A HREF ="http://www.24hourcampfire.com/Merchant2/4.16/admin.mvc as">http://www.24hourcampfire.com/Merchant2/4.16/admin.mvc as</A>
            well. But it's a blank.

IS there another place to configure?

I suspect this is a very minor setting.

It sounds actually like a very simple problem... Once the SSL is
            installed
on your domain, you simply need to go into Domain Settings -> Site
Configuration and make sure all your secure URLs have "https" in them.
            If
they are blank or left with http, manually forcing them to use secure
            mode
(https in the URL) will indeed display blank pages.

Your "Secure Root Directory for Modules" is
wrong, it should be just: /Merchant2/
same as the setting for "Root Directory for Modules"
