Hello-
I am hoping someone has experience or creative suggestions on how to better deal
with missing "required" attributes in Miva. We extensively use attributes for
the products we sell(primarily invitations) and as such we have noticed quite a
few shoppers getting sent to the missing attribute screen when they do not
select all of the required attributes(fonts, printed, qty, etc). This is a
good thing, but unfortunately, we have also noticed quite a few of those same
shoppers try to add the product to their basket mutilple times without updating
the required attributes for the product selected and they end up leaving the
site. We have tried several different versions of the message that we display
on the missing attribute screen to try to be as clear as possible, but I am not
sure it is being as effective as it could.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to better handle missing attributes?
Would it be possible to use tokens or something on the missing attribute screen
to state in the missing attribute message/header what "required" attributes are
missing(replacing the "attributes in bold are required" text)? Would it be
possible to bypass the missing attribute screen all together and use some type
of javascript popup which directs the shopper to the missing attribute directly
on the product screen? If so, how could this be accomplished? I have included
a link below to one of our products.

Any ideas are appreciated,
