[OT] UPS Online vs Worldship, Endicia vs Stamps

    Hi All.

Anyone on the list using ShopInvoice?

I was wondering if there were any folks willing to talk about shipping
options and experiences. I see that SI integrates with both UPS Online and
Worldship. Are there any dis/advantages or things to be aware of? The same
    for Endicia, Stamps and USPS.

I have a client who is a one-man show, drowning in his own success. I am
looking to streamline his life as much as possible. The first step is
getting him onto Merchant. Followed closely by improving his back-office
woes (can you say "Copy-n-paste Hell"?).

    Regards,

    Peter Stoermer

    Hi Pete

At my previous store, I was the only guy doing any of the=
invoicing, packing, shipping etc etc. Shop Invoice was an=
amazing asset. It made shipping very easy. I primarily used=
the UPS online connection as it saved a step and was super=
simple. I got an electronic scale - no more entering weights! =
In fact, I think the entire shipping process was mouse only -=
no keyboard entry required! I used the invoices and packing=
lists generated by Shop Invoice. Built in tracking was great. =
I also used Shop Invoice to enter phone orders. Great program, =
    great support.

[OT] UPS Online vs Worldship, Endicia vs Stamps

We have been using it since it came out. Now it is called ShipWorks. Works
great. We use it for UPS shipments, printing labels, and "orders shipped"
emails. It is very simply to configure. All the invoices, emails, and
anything else is all in XML. If you know HTML, and know tokens, it has a
very small learning curve. Setting up invoices and packing slips isn't hard
once you bet the hand of it.

Now we also use Order Manager. My boss needs the full on flexibility of the
program. We print packing slips and invoices from there. But could just as
      easily do it from Shipworks.

Now, UPS online lets you ship from inside ShipWorks, track it and send a
custom email with the tracking number and whatever else you want. Very
simple. Not sure about using it with Worldship. We only use world ship with
international stuff that tend to need more options. We don't have more than
one a day so it isn't bad.

USPS. It looks like it has been updated. I looked into that whole thing, but
exporting stuff out into another program was going to be too much for the
people who ship. I wanted to keep it simple. PLUS out local post office will
weight, meter and label everything for us and just charges our card for it.
Saves us time so no reason to bother with Endicia or anything. I might check
into it again when things slow down here.

The program also can be networked with additional licenses (works great).

It takes a little getting used to, but once it is setup, it just works. We
have two people shipping for us and they haven't had a problem since the
last upgrade about 6 months ago. We ship out about 150-300 packages a day.
We are getting to a busy season and that will get to about 400.

Sorry so long, but the program deserves it. If you need any specific help
      let me know.

      -Mike

Shipworks will most definitely remove him from copy and paste hell.
We use the Endicia/Dazzle portion for postage.
In a nutshell it's great and works.
They are always working on advancing the application and listen to user
          feedback.
Heck they even have a feedback mailer built in !

          Thanks,
