    Credit Card Prefixes

The simple validation module must be old. '55' had been a MC prefix for some
    time, now.

Visa and MasterCard and the other card issuers make the determination of
prefixes. Your credit card processor can supply you with the latest ranges
and lengths. Here's the latest in my records

    Card Range Length
    VISA 400000-499999 13, 16
    MasterCard 510000-559999 16
    Amex 340000-349999 15
    370000-379999 15
    Novus 601100-601199 16
    Diners Club 300000-305999 14,16
    309500-309599 14,16
    360000-369999 14,16
    380000-389999 14,16
    JCB Card 352800-358999 16

    Credit Card Prefixes

Sorry if this is a dupe, tried to email the list, nothing posted...

I am using Credit Card Payment with Simple Validation.

We have had customers call us stating that they could not place their order on our site. After closer investigation, we noticed that their MasterCards had a prefix of 55. This prefix is not included in this module as one of the defaults. No problem, I added that prefix to the MasterCard allowable prefixes.

My question: Is there a source that provides this prefix information on the various credit cards? I would like to keep informed as to new issues.

    Thanks in advance,
