    Product Description

    I have encountered a problem: I enter a product description for a
product and when I update all that left of my description is the first
10 characters, the rest is gone, has anyone else noticed this?

And re-uploaded that products.dbf to your server?

You have successfully damaged your database. You'll need to either have
your host restore the products.dbf from backup, or get a fresh empty
        copy and re-do your products.

Excel truncates the memo fields to 10 characters, and should not be used
        to edit dbf files.

Use a suitable editor such as dbfutils if you absolutely have to hand
        edit Miva database files.

And this is another good testimonial for the MySQL install. But even editing
the MySQL records always require a good backup before you start editing.
