    Missing Orders

    I have been using Miva Merchant for several months now without any =
    significant problems. However, lately I have been noticing missing =
    orders, orders which do not show up in Miva Merchant Order Processing =
    (Un-batches Orders), however payments through my gateway (Cardservices =
    Int'l) and Paypal are made. Recently, a customer whose order did not =
    show up in Miva Merchant Un-Batched Orders but did show up my =
    CardServices Int'l gateway batch, indicated to me that she received an =
    error message "Application Timed-Out" after completing the order =
    process.

    I have taken steps to delete baskets, pack data files, etc. Still this =
    problem occurs 1 out every 5 orders. Please help!

    This question is better asked on the Miva Merchant
    users list as this list is for software coding
    related issues. But to answer your question, Linkpoint
    has been up and down for much of the last two weeks,
    with many hours of outages yesterday and the day before.
    Transactions hit them and are charged but never get
    sent back to Merchant for it to know that the sale was
    successful. PayPal has been having a similar problem
    as of Friday but in their case, they do send the
    transaction back six to twelve hours later. Bill
    Weiland of Emporium Plus reports that increasing your
    basket timeout to 1440 minutes may let those orders
    eventually show up.
