RE: [mru] Authorize Net with 3.9301 Engine and 4.12 Merchant

    Hi Robert,

If you are going to use Miva Merchant v4.12, you will need to contact
[email protected] <mailto:[email protected]> for the new authorize.net
module. If you use 4.13, the authorize.net module that comes with this
version will work. But for any version you will need to be running Miva
Empresa v3.94 or higher. In order to use the Authorize.net module, OpenSSL
    must be installed.

    Todd,

We will soon be setting up Miva with 4.12 (or do we need to upgrade to 4.13
    to work correctly?)

    Per your advise below:
"Miva Empresa 3.94 or higher installed"

is this version for 4.12 or 4.13?

    Thank you!

    With kind regards,

    Hi Dave,

In order to use Miva Merchant with Authorize.Net, you need to have Miva
Empresa 3.94 or higher installed. This is the earliest version of the engine
that can be configured with OpenSSL, which is required with Authorize.Net.
The latest commerce library must also be installed. If you are running Miva
Merchant 4.12, then you will need to contact [email protected]
    <mailto:[email protected]> for the
Authorize.Net patch. However, I suggest upgrading to 4.13 unless you can go
to the compiled version. Both of which will work fine.

Subject: [mru] Authorize Net with 3.9301 Engine and 4.12 Merchant

I think I'm caught in limbo between versions.

We're running Miva Engine 3.9301 and Merchant 4.12
and can't seem to get it to connect to Authorize Net
    version 3.0 gateway.

    (Background:
We bought our Miva license through a reseller/host and
they can't upgrade us because we are locked into an
Ensim control panel that locks us into a specific version
of Miva Merchant. To upgrade us, they'd have to upgrade
the Ensim on the machine and upgrade everyone else.)

    Problem:

Authorize Net's website has an announcement from 2002
that says there is a patch needed for all 3.9x versions
of the Miva engine. Without that patch, you cannot connect
to Authorize Net. And in fact, we can't connect, just
    like it says.

I went to Miva web site and downloaded the patch like
Authorize Net says. However, that patch can only be
applied to your 3.9x engine if you have version
4.14 or later of Miva. And we have 4.12. The patch
    won't execute.

    Solution ? :
Does anyone know how we can upgrade our 3.9301 engine?

We are on a "virtual dedicated" machine and can manually
fiddle with individual files if need be. Can we download
a "patched" version of the 3.9x engine from someone and
manually upload it to the right place on our server?

    #2
Porting Miva Empresa to Mac OS X

Are any of the ports for Empresa (either versions 3.9x or 4.0x) compatible with Mac OS X?

And how about the compiler? Any updates on when it will/may be ported to Mac OS X?

I only found one mention of this from last October.

    thanks,
    lance
