- I've seen two servers now where s.miva_sslavailable shows OpenSSL
installed, but MvCALL over SSL causes a script (Merchant's admin.mvc) to
crash. There aren't any errors, the script just terminates. Both servers
were running 4.0702 on Linux. The server today was running OpenSSL/0.9.6b,
dunno on the first. Unfortunately I couldn't check the MVM OpenSSL
directives or investigate further (all I had was Merchant admin info), but
since there are evidently servers in the wild like this and no way AFAIK to
gracefully workaround it, it limits our ability to distribute anything using
SSL MvCALLs.
- Today my partner Michael Brock found that under Mia 3.9x/XP Pro, if
OpenSSL is installed, s.miva_sslavailable takes ~7 seconds to evaluate.

but nobody else confirmed anything at the time.
