    Synchro skipped an order today

We have been having good luck with Synchro, but today on Synchronize, it
skipped an order that we had received.
At the end of yesterday, order #1460 came in and synchronized fine.
This morning we had two orders, #1459 and #1461. But only #1461 came
through to QuickBooks during the Synchronize process. So unless we
manually entered #1459, we would have lost it.

Has anyone seen Synchro lose orders before? Does the fact that the
orders were not in numerical order have anything to do with it?

    Synchro skipped an order today

    Bob,

Not wishing to speak out of turn, here, but I do know that Miva Synchro
keeps track of the last order# whenever you sync. I would expect that if
you went backwards in order #'s, you probably would have missed the one
    order.

You might want to look at how you maintain your Miva store (delete shopping
baskets). If you reclaim order#'s that might be a problem since future
orders would possibly be assigned old (reclaimed) order #s.

Because of the Miva Sync process, we've opt'd to NOT recover order numbers
when using "Delete Shopping Baskets" in the miva store.

You could probably re-set the configuration information (last order#) in
Miva Synchro, but I could see some problems with doing it that way, in
addition to being a pain to figure out what the last order# should be each
    time you sync.

    Hope that helps.

FYI - It's a bad idea to recover order numbers, period. It could lead to
corrupt database files. It's a problem inherent to Miva Merchant.

No way insure orders come into store in sequence

We do not recover order numbers, but that does not insure that orders
come into the store in sequence. Since the order number is assigned
prior to checkout, there is no guarantee that the customers will finish
their shopping in the same order as the numbers are assigned.

This dropping of orders that come in out of sequence is a real pain and
means we will need another parallel system to insure no orders are
        dropped.
