Seeing double - subcats

I'm pretty sure I know what is causing the subcats (subcategory_listing) to display twice on the CTGY page.

I have two cattrees in the code. Each takes it's turn being displayed. One is for the full screen view, which gets hidden on smaller screens and one is for the smaller screens that unhides at the col-xs-12. Since the Miva way of displaying subcats depends upon the cattree code this is why I'm seeing the double set of subcats. I need to figure out a way to have it only display one. I know one option is to use the EmporiumPlus Tool.

I wish it were at this point, but the store owner is seeing it too. I think I'm just going to revert to using the EP Toolkit to create the sub-cat listings since the built-in one relies on the cattree.
