Any suggestions for a Live Chat like program that is lighter weight than live chat. Currently, it looks like Live chat is chewing up about 2.2 sequential seconds per page load.

Look at Woopra. It's cheap and easy - and no load on your servers. They maintain history by visitor and do some great reports.Comment

Long story short, I have a live chat solution that we use on eMediasales and our other web properties, but I have yet to build a simple Miva plugin for this due to focus on our module line. It's something I'd love to do someday, just not productized yet.
