No, you cannot write a module that works with MivaPay. MivaPay has a list of supported payment APIs, such as Authorize.net, Braintree, etc... The customer would have to use one the supported payment modules in order to use MivaPay.

The MivaPay service is only usable by the Miva Merchant software with that integration enabled, it's not intended for use in any other manner. There are third party payment systems that support tokenizing cards both via API call and direct submission from the shopper, depending on whether it's desired to touch the card or not.

I'm working with a client to create a new payment module. They just asked if I can make the module work with MivaPay to save customers' credit cards. I haven't done this before, so I looked at the API manual, did some browsing in the LSK, and examined a couple of tables in the DB. It looks to me like Miva hasn't published enough information about MivaPay to actually make it possible to write this, unless I can get some additional help from in-house, or spend many hours in trial-and error, trying to figure out how it works.

Am I mistaken? Have any of you written a module that works with MivaPay?

    Thanks --
