Retrieve Volume Pricing via Miva JSON API

I know it's possible to update volume pricing using the API, but I'm having trouble retrieving existing volume pricing information. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

TipPro There is no way to get that exact information using the JSON API but you can get the Runtime values using the Runtime_VolumePricing_Load_Product_Variant API function.

I have finally gotten around to playing around with this. I assume I am misunderstanding how the runtime works. How do I get this to work?
