Colossus ReadyTheme Installation over existing ReadyTheme

Are there any installation notes regarding the best practices for installing Colossus in a store that has another (customized) ReadyTheme (Levels) already in place?

After installation (in a dev site behind a wall), I'm still seeing old Global Header and Global Footer, the HEAD Tag content.

I see one thing that shouldn't affect this but should be noted, the store is still using the Legacy SEO Settings.

When you install and apply any ReadyTheme, all existing pages and content should be replaced with what is supplied in the ReadyTheme. If there is something custom in existence, like a non-standard page, that would remain as it doesn't exist in the ReadyTheme.

Yes, I expected that. But what about the Global Header and Global Footer content? Or the HEAD Tag content? Do I have a ReadyTheme install failure?

To the best of my knowledge, those should be overwritten as well.

Try activating the old ReadyTheme, delete the install of Colossus, and try to install/apply Colossus again. If that fails, I would contact Support.

There seems to be a "ghost in the machine". I did do the delete / install / apply. I briefly saw the updated in the fields I mentioned. Then I looked again and it had rolled back. It was the darnest thing. I closed my browser and started again.

I'll start a new thread with my next issue - the links in the category tree

You may be dealing with Browser caching. I'd close the browser in use (or even reboot) before installing a theme.

Yup, after a reboot of my computer the issues got worse. I have opened a ticket with support. FWIW - I have never seen browser caching do something like this.

Following up on this. After getting Miva Support involved, Martin was able to fix it by applying the CSSUI Framework then re-applying the Colossus ReadyTheme.

The issue you were experiencing was certainly odd.
Would you expect anything less from me?
