    Cache Control

We are running an audit in Chrome Dev Tools on a product page on our dev site (it is password protected).

The audit gives the following error:

Serve static assets with an efficient cache policy
A long cache lifetime can speed up repeat visits to your page.
I had cache set via the htaccess file but that causes issues in the admin. I received this info from Miva support: Our later readythemes (Shadows + colossus) don't really gain any improvement with htaccess caching enabled. Not sure what that means exactly? How do we go about fixing this?

On the demonstration site, I am using a combination of this .htaccess file [ https://github.com/mivaecommerce/rea...ster/.htaccess ] as well as CloudFlare and the built-in Redis Page Caching; and I have not experienced any issue with the administration portal. I'm looking into why the use of the htaccess file for cashing may not be needed.

Were you able to figure out anything on the caching?

From what I have been able to find out, it is better to set the expires headers in nginx vs .htaccess. Unfortunately, this is something you would have to contact support to get taken care of.
