Need help customizing order processing page

Is there a way to use custom fields in the order page in MIVA?

    Default looks like this.
Code. Name. SKU. Quantity. Weight. Price/Ea. Total.

I tried to post a picture. Apparently, you cannot upload pics to the forum.

FYI this is my first post. My experience is limited.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Yes custom fields can be used on any page in Miva.

    Here are some resources:

We also cover custom fields in our free MivaLearn course here:

I really wish I could post the picture of what I'm talking about. In the area where you can manually create an order, or view an order that someone has placed, is where I'm trying to make the change. I can't find that page in the templates. When I try to add the custom field, it only shows up as a hyperlink in the top left-hand corner of the order.

We have a site that sells seeds. Currently we have the number of the seeds per pack included in the Product Name. I would like to use one of the Custom Fields with the package count so that I can remove the count from the Product Name altogether.

Can you tell me how to do this?

      Thanks

If the data is relevent to the product, that sounds like you want to use a custom PRODUCT field not Order.

Still, what isn't clear is WHERE you want to see this. My guess is that you want to see this in the Miva's Admin, Order Processing screen. In that case, there is no way (other then the link available in the upper left corner) to view this info. (Ok, no easy way.)

@miva...would be really nice to be able to do this. At least from a point and click method.

Sounds like you do understand what I am asking for.

I was thinking that it might require Miva intervention.

          Thanks

Yeah, I have wanted to customize the admin view for years. I would like custom product fields on the order too. As far as I know you can not customize any part of the admin area like this. You can on the Front End, like the customer shopping cart, or account pages.

FYI, at least in my case the best way I have found to post images to the forum is to take a screenshot then upload it to snipboard.io Then I copy the URL from Snipboard, click the image icon in the toolbar (and I'm going to have to go back I find what I clicked on to make that show up - arghhhh). In that window I paste the Image URL. Then it will be include with the post.

If you are not seeing the Forum toolbar, mouse over that gray bar above your post window - from right to left. It looks like it's the second from the right. Arggghhhhh....
