    Image in Mega Menu

How do you add an image to the vertical fly out menu like the Demo store has under the Office category for the Lazaro Desk Sale. I dont see anything in my store for it in the readytheme menu, not sure it is because I deleted all the demo products from my store.

    Thanks

This is actually a pretty neat feature, if you want to see it in action, check out our dev site: http://dev.tmasc.ca/store/sfnt.html

Super easy to get working - just go to the Custom Fields tab for the category in question (it must be the "parent" category shown on the far left of the all categories menu), and then plug in the URL to the image you want to show in the menu, or upload directly from there.

        Thanks for the responses.

That seems very limiting to only link to the main category. Is there any way to link to a product?

I will probably go with the method I used when we did a site based on the iron & wool theme because it can link to products and it also can rotate to different banners on each page load.

Did you ever find out how the product was included in the example shown?

Has anyone figured out how to link the image to a product and not the category? I would like to advertise certain products and sales in the mega menu.

To have that image link to a product, you would need a second custom field to contain the link to the product. You would then need to add the code, with a conditional if desired, to the navigation structure.

For the record, the PDF is rather misleading. The text is clear as to what you can do, but it looks like you can pull in the entire product info.
