    Changing the Ship To name

    Store owner is reporting that
People are calling to tell us they can't put another name other than their own in the ship to box.
I'm thinking it may just the labeling as I am to change the content in the "YOUR INFO" fields. So if I change the "YOUR INFO" to "SHIPPING ADDRESS" I would have to remove the "SHIPPING ADDRESS" header over the address fields. I may need to add some additional text to the "Save My Info!" checkbox explaining to only do this if it's "your own info"

The site is for Gift Baskets so changing the Ship To address needs to be done pretty much for every order. I'm wondering, is there any way that the "Save My Info!" checkbox could be moved there? Or am I up against 20 years of Ship To address being the key to everything?

    Hi Leslie,

It sound like the first thing to consider is should the site be modified to make billing the primary field? Obviously, this would require updating code for the ACAD, ACED, and OCST pages, but it seems a more logical approach to this checkout process. Instead of changing "YOUR INFO" to "SHIPPING ADDRESS", I would recommend just changing it to "SHIP TO".

Thanks Matt, I'm going to play with in the dev site before going live but I wanted to ask, do I go into the Store Settings > Customer Fields and set the Primary Address to Billing? Would I then have to make the Billing Information required? I know when these settings are changed it really screws with the template. Are there any template examples anywhere of this being done and it matching the ReadyTheme look?

        Hi Leslie,

Yes, the admin settings would be the first start. As for template code, unfortunately I don't have anything as an example.
