Quick View > adjust delay / time to close window?

I was asked if I could make the quick view window close a little quicker than it does now (after clicking the add to cart button).

Unfortunately, there is not a setting to control this. The add to cart function is reliant on the speed of the site to process the form and direct you to the basket page.

Since this is not possible, does anyone know if it is possible to begin to fade the popup window opacity as soon as the 'add to cart' button is clicked? This would at least give the impression or visual cue that something is happening.

You could add some JavaScript to fade the pop-up. However, if there was an error in processing the add function, the customer may not know this since the window would have already faded out.
