mobile styles for facets

I have memories of seeing an example site that had the facets on the category page in a collapsible section.

Would that be a custom bit of CSS/JS or is there a set of classes for it?

That would be something custom. While the Legacy ReadyThemes support adding facets, they do not ship with them baked in.
