Customizing the ACAD Page or LOGN Create Account

I need to create a customized Create Account Page with additional fields or even a separate page (if possible) to create a Wholesale account user. I need the additional fields to be required and to trigger the messages if missing. I want to tap into how Miva handles required fields and missing information, not some pseudo fix. There used to be two modules that did just this, Sebenza's Custom Customer Fields Display and the EmporiumPlus Custom Customer Fields Interface. Both tied into the built-in Custom Fields. Both made it easy to make the fields required. And now both no longer seem to be able to make those fields required to where the customer must fill them in before being able to submit the content and both displayed the built-in error Messages.

    Hi Leslie,

To the best of my knowledge, without a module or some custom MVT:DO functions I do not believe this is possible. You may check with Bruce or Kent, I seem to remember one of them had something to accomplish this.

I wish I could find out why the two working modules stopped working.

Cause they haven't had an update in over 5 to 8 years...that's why everyone's been saying you need to move away from un-supported modules. Fortunately, it's not that hard to add these types of field, though I suppose having a 'checklist' process would be nice since there are about five steps in five different areas to cover. (unfortunately, I don't have the time ATM to write them out. :(

Yes, I understand why they don't work. It was more a cry out for a new module or better documentation on how to convert away from these old modules. If you (we) want to encourage store owners to move away from these old modules then it needs to be easier for them to do so.

Agreed. As mentioned, a good, specific example for say Custom Add and Order Capture would probably be easiest. The issue with a 'module' approach is that you'd lose the fabulous flexibility of the built in custom fields system. (oh, and that no one wants to pay for modules anymore :) )
