Issue with login prompt shadows and Safari on Iphone

    Hi,

Just noticed today an annoying quirk.

If a customer has login credentials saved on their Iphone device and autofill set then at every page load it prompts the customer to login.

It's a bit annoying. Only does it on safari, not chrome on I phone.

Here is a link to the customer experience.

Any ideas if we can change this please. I'm assuming this issue is present on all miva shadows sites viewed on safari on iphone where customer has autofill on.

    Thanks

    Hi Jake,

This is the first time I've heard of this. I know the iOS Safari can be quirky compared to other browsers. I don't have a device to test this specific use case, but we may be able to narrow what the cause is. Can you test the demonstration site [ https://shadows.mivareadythemes.com/ ] the samey way you did for the video and let me know if the same thing happens?

        Hi Matt,

OK we've tested with the demo store and under same circumstances the issue does not occur.
So there is something about our shadows site facewest.co.uk that is causing this.
        Should I make a ticket?

        Thanks you

          Hi Jake,

It couldn't hurt. I believe your site is on Shadows 1.0.5, so there could be something in the old code that is allowing the issue you're seeing. Unfortunately, being able to track it down could be very difficult.

            Hi,

OK so I couldn't easily find a solution.

It's caused by the customer login fields being present in the html, but hidden by CSS. It only reveals when clicked on.
That's not a feature we really need anyhow.

            So I edited:
Global header to remove the pop up sign in feature.
Customer links to make "sign in" go to the login page instead.

That's fixed the issue for us.

            Thanks
