It's probably time for me to do a fresh update anyway and I'm now waiting for the next release before I start. I've been playing around with the new fragment way of displaying product pricing on the ctgy page so that we can easily hide prices on some products / hide if zero / price range etc. because the default way lacks this. Sure would love to see an example of how I should be displaying swatch images on the ctgy page so customers know there are more colors. Selling auto parts seems like it would be easier than selling clothing :)

Are there steps we can follow to fix this without having to revers engineer the site and just update the facets layout? I don't believe my version is that old but when I have too many filter options they appear over top of the different facets below.

sorry to highjack your thread Leslie :)

lesliekirk The version of Shadows that has the facet layout like that is from when Shadows was NOT apart of the core software. That is Shadows Version 1, here is a link to the branch that has that version installed: https://shadows.mivareadythemes.com/...8821722fb0d04a

So long story short that framework is from before Shadows was implemented in the software.

Just an FYI to the others who were also sleeping in class. The Mobile Facets menu in Shadows went from a layout like this:

to a simple "button" like this:

    PtawsI.png

that opens the filters in an overlay menu style like this:

Maybe SteveoSoule can "kill the cat" for me...

Hey Nick, take a look at this post, then look at the small video posted. It shows exactly what the issue is/was. I had a storeowner encounter this in two stores after they just started using the facets/filters in stores with older versions of Shadows. I'll go look to see if the repository mentioned when the method the Mobile filters are displayed was changed. It would be nice to have some sort of fix for this issue (other than having to upgrade/makeover to the latest version of Shadows).

I am not sure what you are referencing exactly but all updates to the Shadows framework can be found here: https://github.com/mivaecommerce/shadows/releases

You can create a GitHub account and watch the Shadows repository to get notifications when the framework has been updated.

    Shadows Mobile Facets Improvements

I must have been sleeping in class when the announcement was made regarding the improvements to the Mobile version of the Facets/Filters display that resolved the issue of hidden facets still being "clickable" when collapsed. The improvement is fantastic but I'm curious, which version was the change made?
Working...
