    Adding Facets

Has anyone added facets to Storyteller? Would you be willing to share the template code snippets that worked for you?

    Many thanks!

Not to that ReadyTheme specifically, but in general, one only needs to find a framework space to place the facets item. Usually, using the framework from a category level page (that has a category tree) and just placing the Facet item in the cat tree header provides a good starting point.

LOL, yeah, well the cat tree isn't in the usual place on this particular ReadyTheme, so the suggestion, while very good, will not work with this one.

        Hi Leslie,

Storyteller was never thought of a theme that would have facets. It would require considerable design and coding thought to make something that would work fluidly with it.

          Yeah...kind of figured that.

My attempt to add Facets to Storyteller is coming along rather well. I'm using some of the template coding from Shadows, along with some of my own flavoring. Just to confirm, is the accordion style menu jquery/javascript driven? If so, could I be pointed to which file (or files) is used?

              Hi Leslie,

The show/hide you see on Shadows is controlled through the facets.css extension.
