    MMUI vs. CSSUI

Is it possible to replace a MMUI framework with a CSSUI framework? I am redesigning a store that was originally built using the MMUI framework but I would like to convert it to CSSUI. Is that possible?

If you're redesigning the store from scratch, yes you'd need to delete the old store (hopefully it's a dev copy) and then click the Add Store wizard and it'll default to CSSUI.

You'd need to manually move the order history data, etc..., so make sure you don't delete that.

        Hi Rick,

Other than the obvious items like design settings being lost and making sure all of the correct CSSUI items, templates and pages get created - can you think of any reason why a UI switch couldn't be programmed? Just curious if there are any crazy gotchya's you guys can imagine. I'm pretty sure we could do this...

        Thanks,
        James

          James,

You're right, technically it's not an issue if you can install all the new components, switch the database flag to CSSUI and reinstall fresh templates.
          Thanks,
