I REALLY wish there was a way (there's not as far as I'm aware). If the store owner is using Cloudflare (pro plan or above) you can generate images on the fly. /cdn-cgi/image/width=300,quality=75/mm5/graphics/00000001/example.jpg

Is it possible to dynamically resize category tree images at runtime?

GeneratedImage_FindOrInsert_Image_Dimensions takes an image structure as its first parameter, but category tree images are managed properties, not "images" in the Miva code sense.
