    Where?

I know it was mentioned but never confirmed. Is the conference in San Diego? I also vote for no on the 3 course dinner cruise. To hard to mingle.

Jimmy - can you give us start and stop times. I need to book airline if I expect to get a decent priced ticket. Does it start at 8AM on the first day or is that day for the night time get together to kick it off? Does it end at 4PM on the last day or is that a 2 hour session in the morning. Please give us a bit more details. We don't need the class schedule, just the start and stop times.

The Conference opens with a Welcome Reception on August 29 at about 6pm. The Exhibit Space will be open for that reception.

The actual Conference sessions and keynotes start the next morning, Ausut 30, around 8am. We will have sessions all day on 8/30 abd 8/31. For Friday, 9/1, we'll probably end earlier, maybe around 3 or so.

This is a very early and tentative schedule, and it may change. But this is in-line with the agenda from previous years.

New for this year, we're planning on hosting a pre-conference partner summit on Tuesday, 8/29. This will probably start around noon with lunch and round tables.

For this year's conference, would you be interested in a longer day of sessions on Friday or continue with the previous pattern of ending around 3pm? Said differently, will it impact you on flights/travel if we went to 5pm on friday or are most of you returning on Saturday?

We're working on the schedule right now and I am trying to incorporate as many sessions as possible, so I am curious what your thoughts are. Please feel free to post a reply or PM me. Thanks!

I prefer the 3pm end time.

I wind up driving up to LA to visit family for the weekend after the conference and traffic is already starting to get messy on the 405 at 3pm.

Then again, when ISNT the 405 a mess! :D

There won't be a way to please everyone. Seeing that SD is PST, many on EST will want to go back Friday, but many others will await Saturday (hopefully there will still be a developer's morning Q & A???).

Personally, I think 3 should be the end of sessions, but the final ceremony could go to 5 (like Jimmy did last year).

I find it easier to return on Saturday than Friday, because any canceled flights won't leave me stranded for an evening.
                  Best,

Absolutely, we are currently planning on having the Attendee Tickets up and for sale within a few days. Sorry for the delay, we'll be up to speed shortly and there won't be anymore issues (well, as few as possible).

Also, the website and information will be up within a few days as well, so hang in there and I think you'll be very pleased.

                      Thanks for your patience!

Excellent! Is there a phone number / person I can call to register? I need to pay by PO/Check.

                          Thanks!

                                Eric,

According to MIVA's web site (http://smallbusiness.miva.com/conference_2006/sponsor/) they are estimating "300+", but if you base it on the numbers from the last several conferences.... well... it's going to be more like half of that. I am not sure how MIVA is going to attract twice as many people this year, but it sure would be nice if their current estimate met with reality. Hope they have something good up their sleeves to generate as much interest in the conference as possible.
