More marketing and navigation features added to Emporium Plus Tool Kit

Just in time for the holidays.

prior - When a logged in customer visits a product page you can alert them that they previously ordered that product. You can also display the date of the order and give them a link that goes directly to the order status invoice. If you have bought from Emporium Plus between 2001-2009, you can see how this works at the http://www.pinemporium.com/SFNT.html mirror test store. Login using your Emporium Plus login and password. (the certificate is not valid for this store as I didn't buy one for a temporary test store but the pages are owned by the same company) Then go to any product page for a product you bought between 2001-2009. You should see a highlighted message that you have purchased the item with a link to the specific order status invoice.

footsteps - Many of you are familiar with this feature in the mini-basket module. It displays a customer's recent product page visits. Customers don't have to remember which category they saw an item in to get back to it. They simply look at their session footsteps and click the link. Make it easy to relocate the product and buy it. You can see how it works at http://www.pinemporium.com/SFNT.html. Visit some PRODUCT pages. Then click on the basket tab and scroll to the bottom of the page to see your recent product visit history. You could put that history on any page and compress its display into a compact table or drop down.

visitors - Many of you are familiar with the Show Baskets module which lets you view (in admin) the products people are putting in their baskets. While as intriguing as that is, it is limited to those who have access to your admin. The visitors function lets you display page names of some of the pages that customers are currently looking at in your store. It logs product, category, search and product list page visits, not just when items are placed in the basket. This display is on the store side so that other customers can view it (less customer data). Peak interest in customers by showing them what others are interested in or excited about. Look at the bottom of http://www.pinemporium.com/SFNT.html to see the most recent activity in this test store. You can limit the display to no repeats like you see on the storefront or you can allow repeats like you see when you click the "more >>" button in that display's title bar. You can also limit which pages you show, e.g. product and category on the storefront and prod, ctgy, srch, and plst on the "more" page.

If you don't have the Emporium Plus Tool Kit you can get it at http://www.emporiumplus.com/go/wcw/PROD/1AA/1AA00223 If you need an update, go to http://www.emporiumplus.com/go/wcw/PROD/1AA/1AA00223U If you have one of the similar modules, they'll probably add these features in the near future.
