    Hi,

I've used Opex Communications and they're a top notch provider from my experience. I'm not sure what their rates are, but the service is good.

    HTH,

    Ben

    Hi HMB,

Glad to help. I've used Cognistate for over a year without one complaint. It was easy to sign up with them. And my toll free number was operational within 48 hours and has been perfect since. Invoices are online and they debit payment from a credit card. All invoices are completely itemized by call.

Thanks for the kudos on my site!

What about Opex? They seem to be ranked #1 on this list:

Has anyone had any experiences with Opex?

    Thanks, HMB

    more on 800 numbers

    To All,

I found the following services, please tell me if you've heard anything good/bad about them:

    http://www.tollfreelive.com/800-numb...FS-HIgodHGLpLg
    http://www.kall8.com/agents/7341/ind...FT85GAod6TvEJw

Hi Julie W., I just checked that link, and the 800 product is not offered in Portland Oregon, where I live, but thanks for looking ;)

Hi Julie T., I'll check out the rates/service plans for Cognistate. It sounds like a really good deal. How's their service? How long have you used them? Also, cool site, maybe we should do some cross promotions on our websites. We seem to have complimentary products. If you wish, contact me off line and we can arrange some kind of link exchange.

    Thank you,
    HMB

I had to dig a little to find it, but Qwest does offer 800 numbers.

    Good luck!

    I misquoted Cognistate's rates.... sorry!

Okay, it is $1.50 a month for the 800 number and you can choose your personalized 800 number (like 800-HARVEST) for free.

The rate is $0.036 cents a minute for out of state and for instate $0.137 cents a minute, rounded in 6 second increments. (instate rate quoted is Arizona, as all instate rates are different depending on your state).

    Sorry for the confusion!

I use Cognistate for my long distance and toll free number.

The toll free number is free! And it is just .03 cents a minute for out of state and in state is .07 cents (Arizona has a high in state rate.). And you can have the toll free number ring any phone number, including cell phone numbers.

    Cognistate's phone number is 877-608-3769.

    Hope this helps!

Well, I just checked with my phone company, and can't find 800 number service anywhere on their site. Its Qwest, pretty big company, so I don't know why they wouldn't offer this.

Okay, good, I'll check with my phone company, it would be good to get it on the same bill as our home service. Thank you.

Just about any phone company can offer you a toll-free number. The companies you may see online doing nothing-but toll free numbers simply set up call forwarding to make the number ring to whatever number you like, but you don't have to use those companies at all. Chances are virtually 100% that you can get a toll-free number assigned directly by your very own phone company.

800 Number Services - Who do you use?

    Hi,

I want to add an 800 number to my web store. As I'm shopping around for this service, I'm noticing that there are so many companies and most don't look very professional at least from their websites.

I'd like to hear personal experiences with the company you use. I want a company who is reliable, has great customer service, 24/7 support, call forwarding, (don't care much about other features).

Also, it would be nice to not have to pay a Setup fee.

    Thanks,
    HMB
