While I am fluent in doing price updates via a spreadsheet, when you start getting into the hundreds of thousands of variants that need to have the pricing updated, your head spins. I'd like to be able to have the Inventory Variants Auto Generate be able to update the pricing of the Variants if either the master product price has been updated and/or any of the attribute prices have been changed.
FWIW - I tried using the Import/Export Products To Inventory Variant Flat File module to create a file I could work with. I found it extremely confusing with what it produced. What I have had to do to make the massive quantities of data manageable is to assign the product variants to the same category as the master product (by default this is not happening when the variants are generated), then when I do a product export, I do it by category. This is my workaround for handling the price changes.
