With the new Dream Features Forum created, I'm going to officially close this thread (but it'll remain up for browsing).

    Leslie,
I use a product to upload extra images. You don't have to save the product... just use the image tab and uploader. But don't save the product. You image will get uploaded, you'll be able to copy the relative url and use it in your template/css/whatever. if you are wary of accidently messing up a live product, create an inactive placeholder product with 0 inventory to do this with.

Probably mentioned this before but I think it's worth a repeat. I'd like some way to upload images in the admin that are not related to anything. Like the WordPress Media library - I find that I have a few images here and there that are used that "I" could FTP but it would be so much easier if I could just upload them while I'm in the store admin. With the MMUI store, I would use the Buttons fields as a way to upload extra images. But with CSSUI, those fields are gone.

Can we get the admin <title> to better reflect that actual page/site you're looking at, for example, i'd like to see:

Page/Screen: Domain Name(for us developers) : the Merchant Admin (or just Admin)...reason is, I (and i image others) frequently have several tabs open...and they all say Miva Merchant Admin (unless i right click and open the frame in a new window.
Nice one.... Also, the ability to separate the product code from the product name. For instance, I had to make a custom field to represent the product name ..IE.. Item #14a, rather than the product code being displayed... As we use the code field to represent url names like mesh-babydoll, etc... that sure is ugly to have on invoices, etc..hence why we make a custom field. If i recall, we didn't have that issue in Miva4

No, PR8 is feature complete at this point.

Would this be a feature that could be added to PR8? I think it would be
invaluable to be able to see the stock status/inventory level within the add item screen.

Add the ability to see the stock status of a product when you add items to an order using Manage Orders. Currently the system allows you to add items that are out-of-stock and even items that are listed as inactive. The pop-up item entry screen should either display the current stock or have a warning(confirmation) message if the quanity added is more than currently available. This has been extremely problematic for orders placed by phone and entered directly in Miva Admin. We have had multiple occations when items were added to the order that were unavailable - only to have to call the customer back - which of course gives the customer a bad impression of our company.

Perhaps Miva could set up a VMware Virtual LAMP server ( Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) pre-configured with Merchant installed that could down loaded and run on ones local desktop via the VMware Player.

This kind of development environment would be preferable to Mia.

Ability to see the product count at any time without having to export the items and check manually. A simple checkbox to allow this with other product fields on the product page would be helpful. Also the ability to sort by product count.

Add Hoc Order_Tabs. I.e., the ability to hang a tab on order data from something other than a shipping/payment module. A lot of times our clients need to pull data in from external (non-database) sources for a given order. For example, a customer-file upload. I know we can just use a 'fake' shipping or fulfillment module, but that seems rather messy. Why not just have a "module type" called "Admin" that could, among other things, have the "AdminModule_Order_Tabs" function etc.
