Hey Brennan, I wanted to follow up on this. I tried to use the last updated field but it looks like it is not updating when the reps make changes to my "last contacted" custom field.

I missed the part where you want to use the advanced search on the field to filter by date range. Notes are not going to work for that since you can't filter by them from the customers batch list for your reporting.

I think your custom customer field still should work here. Anytime a custom field is update, it also updates the customers last updated date time stamp. This is filterable via the advanced search. So you can have your sales reps put in any value that is useful into the custom customer field. This could be the date + their name. Then you can use the last updated time to do your filter.

This will get you all customers who had their value updated during the time period as well as general customers updates which you could filter out.

Other than that you would need a custom module to enable the custom field to be a date picker.

If you want to do this inside of Miva. then you'd probably need a bit of custom SMT coding to have it work efficiently. But at the end of the day you'd be using custom fields. You'd need to create a 'front side' page to run the code (cause unless you go the route of a custom module, there's little SMT code can do to effect the Admin UI.

    Hey Brennan,

Thanks for the feedback. If I could pick your brain on this... We have around 600 wholesale accounts, and 3 wholesale account managers. Our goal is to have each manager contact 100 wholesale accounts a month, so they should be contacting each customer roughly every other month.

Besides what were doing with a text custom field that they write the date in, can you think of any easier way to track this in Miva?

    Thank you

Have you looked at using Order/Customer Notes:

    https://docs.miva.com/how-to-guides/...der-processing

    https://docs.miva.com/how-to-guides/...otes-cust-acct

It automatically tracks the admin user and date time stamp.

But to answer your question there isn't an in admin date/time picker for custom fields today.

    Date/Datepicker Custom Field Type

    Hello

We use a customer custom field to help our sales reps track wholesale accounts and when they last contacted the customer. Currently we are using a text field, but it would be awesome to have a Date/Datepicker Custom Field Type so we could use the on/before/after/between operators. I think this could definitely be used in many different scenarios if people are using Miva custom fields to track dates for different things.

Another example could be a date expected back in stock or something like that.

    Thanks!
