It'd be real cool if that admin search could also pull up results by using the canonical URL of the category and maybe even products, pages etc.

Miva people usually like a why so I'll add one. Going through 404's you have the URI but not what it was for easily. Being able to copy the URI from the 404 into the top admin search would be a lot easier than going to URI management section and digging through there to find the search and then see if it's there. IMO anyways, that's my use case for why I would also like this.
