Change log on a product and order level.

This is how we currently do it, we have a rich text box in our custom fields for admin notes and change notes. The old host we were with had a change log on products and orders with a 6-month time limit. It was very helpful troubleshooting customer orders with our sales/processing teams and product issues with our “web” team.

While not ideal one could add a custom text area field to each product and the admins who are updating the product could make notations there as to what has changed. We've done custom functionality to support this and it does indeed create a pretty enormous set of data in short time.

FWIW we've looked at this and it generates a flood of data, but we're discussing internally

2nd - I think this would help us a lot.

Something along the lines of the orders notes system showing what user changed what field when. It would be extra nice to see what the data changed from/to. Many of the systems we have used had this feature and it was very helpful.
