change the default value stuck in the search term box in the forum advanced search
I am pretty sure that "decimal places" is hard coded into the forum's advanced search keywords field.
It's really bugging me. Actually been bugging me ever since the forum was updated, but tonight it is really really bugging me. I really would like it either to be blank or have my last used term pre-filled in. But nope.. it's always saying "decimal places". I may have had too much caffiene.. or maybe nothing else is going right and this just is really burrowing into my skin at the moment.. Why "decimal places"? I can't stop wondering about this to the point of not being able to work.

Kelly

On the log in boxes on the top right hand of the screen. I have to manually delete the words "User Name" and "Password" from their respectable input boxes and when typing in the password, the password is visible as plain text. I am able to reproduce this error in all the major browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Opera, Safari, and Internet Explorer.

Re: Forum Wish List
Maybe nitpicking a bit, yet seems kinda odd... New forum setup, when subject clicked on it goes right to the end of the replies passing the OP... I would think it should start at the beginning so you can progress through.

Someone may have already "wished" for this - but how about an RSS feed?

Re: Forum Wish List
More time to edit posts.... Just now, I wanted to add some new developments to my post and the time expired...... So VERY frustrating. I think this would also assist in the deep convoluted posts and thus harness via edits a more sensible, logical setup that will make it easier to answer and help others

More time to come back and edit.... I cant tell ya how many times I wrote a post that I forgot to add some vital info.. and cant edit after when I realize it. Damn, that window of edit time missed.... and oh of course, the typos.... anyways that's all I got...
EDIT - Yeap I came back to edit.. Man I didn't notice how old this thread was... Yikes!!Last edited by Datagg; 04-08-11, 02:36 PM.

Re: Forum Wish List
Tim,
That's a good idea, we (or at least I) hadn't thought of it. I'll put it on the list to do.

Re: Forum Wish List
OK - maybe I'm missing something but why isn't there a board on the Miva Merchant forums that allows people to show off their site and get praise and/or constructive criticism?
I'm only curious because I've been navigating these boards for the better part of three years and have never noticed such a feature. At first I thought - well, it's company based, but then I realized that even other for-profit platform companies have such directories, such as the ones at NetSuite, etc.
All I have to officially go off of is the Miva Merchant Galleria - which is fair but it seems that only the 'creme de le creme' are in their - and - quite frankly I'm never intentionally visit the mivamerchant.com homepage (no offense).
Very Curious.

Re: Forum Wish List
Can you make the forum navigation easier to figure things out? With 'two' versions of Miva Merchant 5 - I'm finding it very difficult to determine where it's most appropriate to put a post (eg. where it's going to get the most relevant reads).
For example, I need to post about an existing MM feature and when I do this I'm always afraid it's going to get lost in the midst of things...
Quite hard to deal with for an OCD-ish type of person like myself. ;)

Originally posted by doubleplusSo, my wish list for the forum is to have a section for Third Party Modules, and subsections for Tool Kit, Sebenza Template Modules, Wow Wow Widgets, etc. An archive of code would be great, too, in one place for each. I personally probably have 20 things each to contribute for Tool Kit and Wow Wow Widgets...

I'd like to see at least two new boards added:
Professional Help Services - Requests
Professional Help Services - Offers
I've found these helpful when I visited another shopping cart's forums.
These would be intended for: hosting, modules, general development, designers, etc.
It would be helpful if this was open to more than just Miva specific products, such as help with analytic software setup, SEO, usability/shopability, etc.
End users would benefit from this.
I think this would help end users learn about the quality level of the products and services they are seeking. It might help end users judge the historical reputations of those offering products/services.
