Difference between cards, panels, tiles and widgets?

Came across this for a project that I am working on that explains the difference between website cards, panels, tiles, but it does not mention anything about widgets. Are widgets different from panels? If so, how (Sorry, but I was not able to find the answer online)?
    Thank you, Bill Davis

in the Bootstrapverse, widgets (in the strictist sense) are dynamic functions such as a 'modal' dialog or menuing system feed by 'data' rather than data enclosed by formatting. For example, a drop-down menu that in source looks like <button class="dd-menu" id="exp-button">Look Here</button> and what you see in the drop down list is feed by jQuery (usually from JSON data). However, as with all good terminology, it now means any markup that applies formatting to underlying elements. So, that label might still be applied if the aforementioned menu markup was a UL list.
