Cheap Newsletter/Mailing List service needed

I use mailerlite but it can't be defined as 'cheap'. I use sendlane and noticed the other day they also include some sort of mass email service. Dunno how good the graphics editor is but sendlane really solved my deliverability issue with transactional emails. We were getting tons of calls/emails/chat "where's my confirmation/tracking number"...sendlane stopped that overnight

All that said I tend to think the auto-integration of spam emails with Miva is overrated. I used other services which were directly integrated and the close rate on promo emails was super crappy. I manually import email addresses to a newsletter list and send an informational newsletter. But my product is boring and customers don't react to 'buy now for this discount"

Thanks, I should have mentioned that this is not a Miva store. It's a WordPress site so any solutions specific to Miva need not be used.

One of my pro bono clients can no longer afford MailChimp's monthly fees. They have almost 3600 contacts. I have told her if she wants to keep growing the list she needs to continue collecting emails in accordance with the CANSPAM Act. Most of her new subscribers come via the pop-up box that MailChimp offers. They only send out about 3 emails a year albeit extremely large ones. Unfortunately, $75 a month is too much for the 501(c)3.

Trying to find a balance of being billed on demand for the mailing but still be able to collect new subscriber emails.
