There are no inherit updates in 9.7 or 9.8, that I am aware of, that would interfere with an existing ReadyThem's functions. Since this is in a test environment, I would recommend contacting support so they can take a look at it.

Thanks Matt! That can ve a walk around. So you mean that 9.08 update has nothing to do with my problem. I have just cloned my site in order to update to 9.7 and evertything functioned well untill I updated to 9.8. Anyone else got this problem? Have MIVA done Changes js-featured carousel

I agree, it is an often used function. To the best of my knowledge, there is nothing in the 9.8 update which changes the active state of a category or would cause there to be a display issue for products from a disabled category. I have updated several sites which had an inactive category for a product display item, and there was no issue with the displayed products nor any errors.

A lot of people use hidden categories for specific tasks like product sliders for example. A lot of people will have to change a lot of code. Who makes the decision at Miva to do core functionality changes like this? It seems like something the community should have been involved with.

    Hi André,

In order to hide the category from automatically generated navigation structures, like the category tree, would be to add a conditional within the foreach which checks for the category code and only displays it if it is not equal to the one you want to hide. If you are using a ReadyTheme Navigation Set, you can remove the specific category from that display.

    After some testing.
IW theme used "inactive" categories for carouselle. Activating Featured Category does the trick. But I do not want to show it in my navigation structure. How do I fix this in order to update?

    9.08 and Featured product

Just updated my test Environment with 9.08. Featured Product on SFNT carouselle says "featured_products category doesn´exist" . The Products are displayed but are not clickable. Does the update makes big Changes to Ready Theme scripts?. I´ve seen update process saying "updating R. Theme". - but I have not read any warnings in the update info...
I have two carouselles on my SFNT.

Has anyone had the same problem?

    Best wishes
