Switching from http to https full site

Is there anything I should know about switching from Http to Https for the full site. I have it now for the checkout process but I would like the SSL to cover the entire site - is this a relatively easy / straight forward process? Do I need to add rewrite condition ? (iron & wool with URI Management) - Thank you.

If you're using a toolkit and using a function of remote page loading/rendering you may face an issue with https, check those pages on their own before you proceed
