    E-mail Printable Invoice

Is there a way to e-mail the printable invoice to someone manually? Meaning, the customer places an order today and a few days later their accounting department is looking for an invoice to be e-mailed over to them. For whatever reason our order confirmation e-mail isn't what one of our customers wants. They need it to be an invoice and it is slowing down our process to make it in QuickBooks.

    Thanks in advance,
    Mike

I would suggest to change the EMAIL_ORDERCONF_CUSTOMER template to match your customers needs

As Aherb mentioned, you can completely control what the customer sees. Perhaps even start with the coding from the Printable Invoice, however...controlling printing from a email client is even worse than controlling it from a browser. You MIGHT Be better off to create (using the Printable Invoice template as a start) another page and LINK to that page from the email. You would need to supply the order id in the link. For security, you should also require part of the bill to email and zip code to match the order. Depending on the sensitivity of the products sold, you might want to go as far as encrypting the bill to email before matching. (Understand that this may be a bit beyond typical store owner abilities, but a good developer should be able to crank this out in a hour or so.
