Product image problems

I'm working on a new dev store with Elements Ready Theme. I've created a swatch drop down, created inventory variants and uploaded the images. Everything works great but there are no category page product images. When I upload an image type of "main" to a product then the category images will display fine. But then the product page shows additional images. Can I "turn off" the additional images display on the product pages?

Hi Louie,

The Elements Framework, as well as the existing ReadyThemes, use the image type of `main` to display the primary product image in various locations. What additional images are being displayed on the product page that you would like to hide? Can you post a link to your site?

Is it correct that normally when more than one image is added to a product, thumbnails are created and displayed below the main image on the product page? If so the swatch images must be considered additional images because they are displaying on the product page below the main image. If I don't assign a main image to the product then the swatches appear as normal color selection.

Hi Louie,

If a product has multiple images uploaded under the `Images` tab, they they will show as thumbnails below the larger image. Swatches are uploaded under the `Attributes` tab within the swatch attribute type. Swatches are not considered additional images.

Hi Matt,

Even when there is only one image under the images tab in the edit product screen I get a thumbnail below the product image that appears to be the color images for an attribute. It even changes color as the swatches are clicked. Maybe I need to delete a product and start over with attributes and images to see if I can tell where it went wrong.

It was the images for inventory variants had to be set to image type of "main"
