How to remove Fax field from Customer address screen (OCST)

I'd like to remove the Fax field from the address input screen for checkout. Is there an easy way to do this?

In the store admin, click on Settings in the lower part of the left menu, then select the Customer Fields tab, and set the radio button for Fax Number to hidden.
