Link in password reset email says expired

    Hi,

We get a lot of calls about this issue and I have yet to be able to duplicate it myself but a couple a day warrants looking into. When the link is sent they get a message that the link has expired.

Is there a setting I am missing?

    Thanks,
    Mike

It's plausible that you have some missing template updates, this was an ongoing issue in the old days due to some email clients preloading the links (causing it to expire before a real human clicked through), contact support and have them walk you through the right templates for this.

It's been years, so I can't recall, that's why I'd check with support

          I submitted a support ticket.

Should I be concerned about any other templates not updating? This is the second one we have found in the last few weeks and now concerned what else wasn't updated. We have been updating our two stores since version 5.

Templates do not auto update, that would break stores. So every release includes docs that outline template changes and what they do. It's up to you to install them. Alternatively you can start with a fresh framework (but then you'd lose your design changes), so it's really an on going thing you should check each release, most releases have only a few or none, but if you miss something (like this) then you'll miss out on feature changes.
            Thanks,

There are 4 templates related to the Customer Password

              ACRT Customer Password Reset
              CPWD Change Password
              CSTR Customer Password Reset
              FPWD Forgot Password

Also in your Customers > Customers Setting is the Customer Lost Password Email fields.

I'm sure Support has helped you sort all this out but feel free to post what was found to help someone else who might have this same issue.

Thanks Leslie, support did help me out. Not sure I need to make any template changes for this one, they had me make the following changes:

In the Miva admin, left hand menu click on Customers then > Customer Settings tab.
