my first branch, Miva 10.07, using shadows

I made my first branch. Is the branch suppose to look like the production site? The branch looks very garbled without any formatting.

From reading the documentation, I expected the branch to look just like the production site. I made no changes to the branch. Just created it and went to look at it. I copied the link and looked at it in an "incognito" window and in Firefox and still garbled.

    Is this normal?

    Thank you -

No that is not what supposed to happen. Before changes, it should be an exact copy. This being said, there have been similar instances where branches do not function probably. This is usually due to inappropriately made site modifications. I'd contact Miva support to sort things out. This not something easy to do via the forums.

Note, if you use the 'branch' link, it will show you the branch regardless of your browser or browser setting (unless you block cookies).p

Hi Valerie, I agree, reach out to support. Make sure you let them know which ReadyTheme you are using. I'm having some odd issues with Colossus.

I too have had branches not be an exact copy, and usually the culprit is css, js or other theme files like fonts not copying to the expected location in the theme. Colossus has been a problem for me, too. Support should be able to get you sorted out.

Yes, support was able to sort it out. As Leanne said, none of the CSS files were copied over with the branch. Support does not seem to know why the css was not copied over. It's a mystery. I'm glad it's all good now.

          Thanks to all!
