    Coupon Questions

We use to use old man Weiland's Coupon Redemption module in conjunction with his Follow-on Contact module to send customers a follow-up email x days after their purchase with a dynamically generated unique "thank you" coupon code good a specific period of time. We later switched to Miva's coupon solution when it was released, but without a unique coupon code. Is there a way for Miva to dynamically generate a unique coupon code to use with Follow-on Contact module or with Sendlane?
    Thank you, Bill Davis

Yes we built a utility for this called Generate Coupon. It can be downloaded from the App store:

Yes, we have that installed, but I was not able to find any documentation related to getting it to work with other solutions (EP Follow-on Contact or Sendlane) other than just generate a list of codes.

I don't understand how one interfaces Miva's coupon solution with EP Follow-on Contact or another solution (e.g.: MailChimp, Sendlane, etc.). I and I do not believe the directions addresses that issue.

I believe follow on contact has a way to use a page template to control the email that gets sent. http://www.emporiumplus.com/v5/followon.htm

If you're using that you can insert the item to generate the coupon code.

As for 3rd Parties Email solutions, Since they are not rendering a Miva template, you typically use a single master coupon code.

Brennan, I can't help being confused. I can't find any documentation to get EP Follow-on Contacts to generate Miva's unique coupon codes only that it can, but not how.

Opened a ticket and this was the response that I got:

I don't see any way of auto generating the Miva coupon code within the EP Follow-on Contact email module.
            Thank you, Bill Davis

Do you have the original template available to you? Here's the link http://www.emporiumplus.com/v5/followonemail.txt
