Using Product Variants to Create a customizable gift set

I am working on creating a gift set of 5 soaps that you can pick from 11 choices. I was partially successful in using a csv file from a template I downloaded from Miva. After import, I chose "Generate Variants" to create all the possibilities.
But I'm getting the error: Miva Merchant returned an invalid response.
    Function: ProductVariant_Generate_Delimiter
    Response: Application timed out

It says that it will generate 161051 variants. I am guessing that it's running out of memory? Not sure what I'm doing wrong here.
Attached is a pdf of the csv file. It wouldn't allow me to upload the actual csv.
    Thanks for any help!

    Hello Birdwaves,

Regarding the application timed out, sounds like maybe Empresa is timing out. If we host your site I'll need your domain name so I can take a look at the timeout settings and increase for you. You can DM me your domain name if you don't want it public here on the forum.

You should definitely be able to generate 161051 variants. I had a site that I could easily generate a million variants.

I had to have Miva support increase my memory allotments, but eventually it worked through after a second attempt. My issue now is that the product's page takes a looooonnnnggg time to load.

If I ordered a gift set of five soap in the color of white does its sequence matter?

In other words, do you need permutations or combinations?

Attribute variants are providing you with permutations, or the sequence of the five selected colors of soap.

Can a customer buy just the soap without creating a set?

Your site may be more performant using the Inventory Kit Builder feature where you can create just variants for the 462 combinations.

Just seeing this reply. Miva support was able to fix the slow loading for me. (Thanks Miva support!)
            Here's the fix:
"I went to User Interface, edited PROD page > Attribute machine - selecting the Do Not load option in the Initial Attribute state drop down, dramatically reduces the page load"
